Sunny September Seaside

It was a sunny Wednesday afternoon.  I had just finished my dental appointment and decided to take a quick stroll in my favourite seaside neighbourhood.

The faithful and hardworking bee was busy enjoying the nice weather.

Beautiful afternoon to be out and walk the seawall.

Looking east, there is Stanley Park, with Lions Gate Bridge immediate to the left.  On the right side is the Kitsilano/Point Grey area.

Hope everyone is enjoying his/her day, no matter where you are or whatever the weather.

Horseshoe Bay

Horseshoe Bay

The sunny weather continued this past Sunday, and we took advantage of it by taking a leisure drive from Park Royal to Horseshoe Bay.  The above was a street view from Dundarave Village, an area in West Vancouver between 24th and 25th Street.  It took us about 20 minutes to get there, and it was a crowded place, tons of people enjoying the sunshine.

The Horseshoe Bay is also adjacent to the BC Ferry Horseshoe Bay terminal.  You can take the ferry to numerous nearby island destinations.

This is the ferry terminal.  Besides vehicles (cars and motorcycles/scooters), people can also park their cars here and board as walking passengers.  The fares are, of course, considerably cheaper than if driving a car.  Shuttle buses can be used as an alternate transportation.

Dundarave in Panoramic

A local retreat, Dundarave is well-known for its beautiful scenic views all year round.  People have morning walks, mid-day runs, and evening strolls on a path, which includes the famous Seawall, from Park Royal to Dundarave (the approximate equivalent distance from 8th Street to 25th Street).

I have been living in the North Shore for the past two decades, and Dundarave is still one of the most breathtaking local spots to visit.

Daily Post Challenge – On Track

Daily Post Challenge – On Track

A lone train track.  A great invention to better lives.

When the train passes, I stop and look.

I count how many carts are connected.

As if the carts are memories, and we should make them count.
